Scott Ambler Bursary
7th August 2019
We would like to thank the friends, family, and loved ones of Scott Ambler, dearly missed Rambert School graduate who sadly passed away last year, who have together provided a bursary in his name on the anniversary of his death to support a dancer currently at the School.
Scott’s remarkable dance career began at Rambert School following the purchase of six ballet lessons from his friends as a joke on his 19th birthday. The bursary is intended to assist a dancer from a similar background to Scott, and in turn has been awarded to Archie White, a fellow late starter to dance who began his training at 15 and is now excelling and entering his final year.
During his time at Rambert School, Archie has taken full advantage of the choreographic and performance opportunities on offer. He has created work to be performed for the choreographic showcases, as well as collaborated with designers for projects at Central St Martins and lighting designers at RADA. Archie is passionate about developing his distinctive movement style further and always striving to continue to develop and mature his artistic voice.
He is incredibly thankful and humbled to be awarded the Scott Ambler Bursary. This will be a tremendous support for him throughout his final year of training and will support him as he ventures out into the world of dance.
