Introducing our New Course: Pre[pare]
26th August 2021
Rambert School is pleased to announce the launch of Pre[pare] our newest course for 11 to 17 year olds coming soon on 25th September, with auditions on Saturday 4th September, 10am – 12.30pm.
Pre[pare] is a year-long course for young people with raw talent and potential in dance who may not have had access to many dance opportunities previously. The course will follow a programme of ballet, conditioning, contemporary and creative classes as well as workshops in other dance styles. Through this exciting programme dancers will build a foundation of skill, knowledge and creativity supporting their journey into pre-vocational training.
Participants will immerse themselves in an open and engaging environment, exploring dance and creativity to connect to future pathways whilst discovering their individual voice. Through individual mentoring, participants will be supported by our team of artists, nurturing their progression and guiding them to the next step.
Ballet class will focus on digging deep into the foundations of the technique. Participants will develop their strength, coordination and confidence in approaching barre and centre work. Participants will grow their understanding of vocabulary alongside their technical development. Previous ballet experience is not required to take part in this course.
Contemporary class brings the technical and creative together as participants will explore the possibilities of the body and find a grounded centre they can move from. As their confidence builds they will be able to explore the dynamic qualities of movement in both their own and taught materials.
The full course fee is £280 per term, but we are offering bursaries to help cover term costs.
Bursaries are available from 25 – 75% for UK residents whose household income is under £42,875. You will need to provide some evidence of your household income, and we can support you through this process. We have travel bursaries available for participants receiving a fee bursary to support with costs coming to and from the course.
