New Spaces at the School

New Spaces at the School

To enable us to operate in a COVID secure way it has been necessary for us to invest in additional studio space to allow for smaller class sizes.

We are delighted to have taken up residency at the beautiful Normansfield Theatre in nearby Teddington (pictured). Students are taking daily classes in this beautiful Grade ll listed theatre which was originally built as an entertainment theatre in 1877. The building contains many period features including painted scenery and ornate fixtures and fittings. The building is run by the Down Syndrome Charity and we are thrilled to supporting them with this partnership.

In addition to this, we have also installed a fully heated marquee onsite measuring 9m x 15m with solid walls, heating, sound system and a Harlequin sprung dance floor complete with their BioCote® Antimicrobial Protection. The marquee has created an additional large studio space which will allow us more flexibility within our timetable, providing rehearsal space for students to create their own work and ensure we can continue running our Young People’s classes.

We would like to say an enormous thank you to Harlequin Floors for supporting us and the dance sector through these challenging times.
