Rowan McLellandRoehamptom Lecturer, Department of Dance

Rowan gained a BA (Hons) from Rambert School and danced professionally in ballet and contemporary companies across Europe, as well as on TV and in film. Sustaining an injury, she looked to other ways of continuing her  involvement with dance and turned to teaching and academia. She has a PhD in Dance Anthropology (Dist.) from the University of Roehampton. Subsequently, she has taught at Central School of Ballet and currently teaches Contextual Studies at Rambert School. She has been awarded many prizes during her time including: HuaYu Enrichment Scholarship and the Santander Travel and Monility award.
