This term’s guest ballet teachers

This term's guest ballet teachers

Chris our classical ballet tutor organises regular visits from guest ballet teachers to come into the School to host classes and workshops.  We wanted to share some biographies of the teachers who’ve joined us this term so far and tell you about the workshops that are still to come.

The ballet sessions add variety to the weekly training of our students, in the same way that our contemporary #FreshFridays teachers and visiting companies do.  The diverse range of backgrounds and styles these teachers bring in both ballet and contemporary, highlight to our students the different potential routes within each of these styles.

This term we have had the pleasure of being joined by Pedro Lapetra, Mikaela Polley, Desiree Ballantyne, Tina Zubovic and Raymond Chai. Find out a little more about the guest teachers below…

* Pedro Lapetra, soloist currently with the English National Ballet

* Mikaela Polley; former soloist with Birmingham Royal Ballet and Rambert, and ex Rehearsal Director with Rambert and freelance choreographer. Watch an interview with Mikaela Polley here via Rambert company.
