Spotlight: Casper Mott, Alumni
26th December 2022
Our next Rambert School Spotlight, is another successful graduate, Casper Mott. Casper started modern dance at the age of 9, but it wasn’t until he attended his first ballet class, at 12 that he realised this wasn’t just a hobby, but a passion.
Casper went on to train at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, to further his dance training. After 5 years at Tring, Casper made the move to Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and went on to graduate with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree.
In late August of 2021 Casper transitioned into his professional dance career, joining TanzLinz in Austria. After a year in Austria, he moved to The Hague to start the 2022 season with the world-renowned dance company NDT2 (Netherlands Dance Theater 2).
On joining the company Casper said “This new chapter has been a dream of mine since I knew dance was what I wanted to do. I feel so lucky I’m able to make my passion and love for dance my career.”
We caught up with Casper and asked what is it about the teaching that makes Rambert School so special?
A – “The teaching at Rambert is like no other. They nurtured my individuality and creativity while pushing and encouraging me to produce my best quality of work. The Rambert teachers provided a safe environment for growth, exploration and development on a personal level. The teachers work closely with each of us to achieve our own goals and greatness and it is this that truly makes the teaching at Rambert so special.”
We also asked how Rambert School influenced and impacted his career.
A – “Rambert School massively impacted my career by supporting and encouraging me to strive for my dreams. Rambert offers so many amazing opportunities and new experiences that by the time I left I had a plethora of knowledge to support me on my artistic journey in the dance industry.”
