Reflections from Platform | Student Choreography shows
11th December 2018
This December saw sell out shows for the first student choreography show of the season. Each night featured a different programme of dance including original and live music as well as performances from our Pre-Vocational students. We’ve gathered some thoughts from our audiences and thought we would share some of their reviews. If you came along to see on of our shows feel free to share your feedback with us by emailing shows@rambertschool.org.uk or alternatively if you’d like to keep up to date with the School news or show updates then please sign up to our Newsletter, The Insider.
‘Really really enjoyed the night. A fantastic lineup of performances, from very talented students. I’ve not really been into contemporary dance much before, but my partner very much is. However I really did enjoy the night very much.
‘Especially thought the two who danced the wonderful circus like piece at the very end were wonderful’.
‘Thank you for last night it was a most enjoyable evening – certainly a cut above most workshop presentations, good variety, some lovely dancers and how nice to have so many works for groups and in different styles’.
‘We loved Wednesday evening’s display by the students. There’s such a wealth of talent there, in both choreography and dance. Some of the performances were astonishing’.
‘Very impressed with Thursday’s choreographic Platform at the Anya Linden Theatre – full of innovative ideas and imagination’.-Twitter
‘For a school to present a week of high standard choreography is amazing and is testament to the quality of teaching at Rambert School.’
‘I loved the variety of the pieces – serious, thoughtful, intelligent and witty, and all well-performed. As a relative of one of the choreographers, Rosie Reith, it was lovely to see her piece at the end of the evening – a very fitting and joyful finale, skillfully danced.’

‘I thought that there was an amazing amount of promising talent on show – from the young pre-vocational people through to the 3rd years soon to embark on their careers. The choreography showed imagination, flair and commitment and was so professionally presented by the theatre team. I spoke to Amanda (Rambert School Principal) afterwards and also to my lovely ex MA student, Hannah Kidd to say how impressed I was.’
‘Really enjoyed the performances & very impressed by the amazing standard!’
