Rambert Grades Collaborates with Royal Academy of Dance
8th September 2022
Rambert Grades has recently partnered with the Royal Academy of Dance in an Australian pilot for RAD registered teachers.
This new opportunity for Australian dance students and teachers will allow access to Rambert Grades’ progressive and inclusive contemporary dance syllabus. Rambert Grades was developed in partnership between Rambert School and Rambert company and is now recognised by Ofqual. Their syllabus is created by industry leading professionals who are global achievers such as internationally renowned choreographers Hofesh Shechter OBE, Alesandra Seutin and Benoit Swan Pouffer.
Rambert Grades training is available for all ages, abilities and bodies regardless previous dance training experience. Rambert Grades offers eight qualifications (Grades 1 – 8) across three levels. Royal Academy of Dance’s values match with Rambert Grades as both believe in increasing accessibility to dance and creating a safe environment for all dancers.
RAD Artistic Director Gerard Charles said: ‘Not only does Rambert offer an excellent standard of dance training, they also share our values of quality teaching, student engagement, movement quality, response to music, and making good dance education available to all. I am pleased that by making this contemporary syllabus available to our RAD teaching members this will add value to the opportunities they can bring their students.’
The collaboration will be piloted in Australia for three years and then will be rolled out internationally. We are excited to see this collaboration between two world-leading dance institutions.
