Kio Tomiyama (FAHE)MA Dance Research for Professional Practitioners Second Year Student

Kio Tomiyama (FAHE) was born in Japan, trained at Rambert School and had a career as a professional dancer before starting to work at Rambert School as a Pilates instructor/student injury support in 2005. She is a qualified Pilates instructor, Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner (Phil Parker Institute: Master level) and has a diploma in Nutrition Therapy (BCNH). She also achieved Fellowship Advance Higher Education (FAHE).

In her current research, Kio is investigating how NLP can support students’ learning efficiency and wider well-being such as motivation, self-efficacy, self-worth and self-compassion in dance education.
