Javier Bustamante MorenoMA Dance Research for Professional Practitioners Student

I am a classical ballet dancer and teacher originally from Mexico. Currently, I run my own school.
I believe that the implementation of somatics techniques would help us, as Mexican dancers, to be more aware of our body, mind, and soul, and thus help us to have an understanding of our artistic practice.
My goal as a choreographer is to create and communicate narratives through dance. I strive to convey powerful and profound messages to both performers and audience members. I aim to create choreography with narrative significance and continuously seek novel insights to enhance the artistic worth I bring to the dancers I team up with.
Many things in the world hurt and worry us as human beings. While art serves to entertain us or distract us from reality, it can also help us raise awareness about these situations that are difficult to talk about.
