A statement from The Picnic when cancelling the event:
We as the organisers, Midsummer Nightcap and the venue, Holkham Estate are sincerely sorry that a completely unavoidable situation has occurred and we apologise profusely and acknowledge that this late notice will regrettably cause significant disappointment and inconvenience to all those due to attend.
The story begins at the majestic setting of Holkham Hall in our magical woodland setting. Be prepared to be inspired by performances by Rambert School students as we celebrate the return of live entertainment.
The Picnic is an external event organised by Francesca Nally, owner of Midsummer Nightcap.
14:30 – FAMILY DAY OF DANCE
This family friendly programme offers an insight into dance with the chance to watch an improvisation session to live music and performances by the rising stars of ballet and contemporary dance.
18:00 – MIDSUMMER PERFORMANCE
An evening of exceptional talent, virtuosity and creativity, the programme features a blend of classical ballet and contemporary dance works and exciting original choreography created and performed by Rambert School students.
