Fresh Fridays with Richard Chappell

This week Rambert School welcomes back Richard Chappell for a contemporary class as part of Fresh Fridays. Fresh Fridays is a chance for our students to be challenged creatively with working industry professionals. They get the chance to experience contrasting ways of working to give them industry insight and a chance to embrace different techniques and approaches. Following class he will also be performing for our students.
Five things to know about RDC:
*Richard Chappell is an internationally renowned choreographer and performer.
*He trained on The Royal Ballet School’s Associate program and then continued his study at Tring Park School, before undertaking a BA Hons Degree at Rambert School. During his training Richard started developing his choreography for the National Youth Ballet (Sadler’s Wells) and Youth Dance England’s Young Creatives Scheme (Royal Opera House)
*In 2013 Richard Chappell Dance Compnay was formed to act as a platform for his choreographic research and touring activities
*2018 was a busy year for RCD, his company perfomed 58 shows, ten works in seven countries.
*Collaborators include Neus Gil Cortes, Samuel Hall, Faye Tan, Anna Gillespie and Louise Bennett
