Fresh Friday with Ben Knapper

We are thrilled to welcome alumni Ben Knapper back with us today to lead our Fresh Friday workshop. Fresh Friday focuses on exploring new dance avenues for our second and third year students by introducing them to external dance artists.

After graduating with us Ben joined BalletBoyz. He has toured internationally including China and New York. Currently Ben is touring with other Rambert alumni: Luigi Lyon, Ben Knapper, Dan Baines, Dominic Rocca and Seirian Griffiths on BalletBoyz latest tour Deluxe. Deluxe is BalletBoyz return to stage and features work from Xie Xin and jazz composer Cassie Kinoshi. Ben wants to bring an element of his own choreography to our students today. He explains that one of his favourite elements of dance is ‘seeing how audiences are moved by our shows’. Hopefully, this emotionality within movement will translate to inspire our students this afternoon.
