Fresh Friday with Andreja Podrzavnik

Andreja Rauch Podrzavnik, MA, Slovenian choreographer, performer, improviser and teacher, and author of numerous stage, research and educational projects. Understanding dance as a mode of behaviour, Andreja has been researching the relevance of the structures and formats she uses in her work, parallel to examining how to think about and practice art in a given context. Her projects are often collaborative and include different  artists from diverse fields of practice;  musicians, poets, actors, designers, photographers and, of course, dancers. She teaches contemporary dance technique, improvisation and dance composition, as well as interdisciplinary workshops.

Andrea’s Fresh Friday workshop will lead into dancing duets and trios, physically intense and charged with tonus, gravity and weight, yet dynamic and generating. Movement is spun and constantly developed through contact between two or more people. Also maintaining the balance; within oneself and between two people with a sense of weight, direction and space.
