Fresh Friday with Adriaan Luteijn from Introdans

This week we’re welcoming the critically acclaimed Choreographer, and Artistic Initiator of Interaction and Inclusion, Adriaan Luteijn, from Introdans for our Fresh Friday workshop. Adriaan is definitely not a standard choreographer. Over the years he has created various works for Introdans, with an immense variety of people included in his casts. Such as Pink Panther Party, Iungo: Nest, Pro Forma 1 en 2, Circular, Scalabor bruist verder, and HubClub’23.

In 2003 he received the Incentive Prize of Dansersfonds ’79 for his work, and in 2008 the Kunstfactor Dance Oeuvre Award. The Kunstfactor jury praised the international breadth of his work, its appeal to a wide audience and Luteijn’s original style. In 2018 Luteijn was honoured for his special services to dance and appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau.

Adriaan says that in today’s workshop the students should “prepare for action!”. He will take them into the world of Introdans, sharing informative ways of how they work as a company, the kinds of repertoire they perform and how the dancers are trained. He added that “the students will learn why Introdans has become famous (next to the world-renowned repertoire of top choreographers from the modern-contemporary scene) by living up their slogan that dance is for everyone and by everyone.”
