Entry to the FD/BA (Hons) Ballet and Contemporary Dance at Rambert School is through a two-stage audition process.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, for entry September 2021 our stage 1 auditions will be via a digital submission. We hope that Stage 2 auditions will go-ahead face to face but if this is not possible due to travel restrictions/ lockdown measures, alternative arrangements will be put in place.
All applicants complete and submit the application form and pay the £50 application fee. Once the application has been processed a link will be shared to enable the digital audition to be submitted. Deadline to receive digital auditions from UK/Home Applicants is 5 March 2021.

Applicants will be advised if they have been successful at the Stage 1 audition process within 14 days of their digital submission being received.

The central objective of the degree is to develop and enhance the students’ ability to perform in Ballet and Contemporary Dance at a professional level. Therefore, irrespective of academic qualifications or prior learning experience, entry is subject to audition.
Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance welcomes applications from disabled people and offers places solely on the basis of potential and suitability for a career in the profession. You are encouraged to disclose any impairment or condition (for example, dyslexia, a physical, sensory or mental health condition) at the earliest opportunity so that we can endeavour to meet your needs at audition and during the course.
Applicants must have turned 16 years by 1st September in the year of entry.
EU, EEA and International students are required to achieve at least a Level B1 in one of the English testing systems recognised by the UKVI. The certificate gained should be a Secure English Language Test (SELT).
There are no academic requirements for entry to the FD/BA (Hons) Ballet and Contemporary Course course. Entry is via a two stage audition process.

Entry to Rambert School for September 2021 is through a two-stage audition process. All applicants must complete and submit an application form and pay the £50 application fee. This fee covers the cost of processing the application and is not refundable if an audition offer is not made.
CDD are able to offer an application fee waiver to students who meet the criteria visit: CDD Audition Fee Waiver
The school is also able to offer a limited number of our own application fee waivers, if you have missed the CDD deadline, do not meet the CDD fee waiver criteria or for other personal reasons, please apply directly to the school by emailing Head of Admissions at Judy Bowden to make a request for an application fee waiver.
Rambert School welcomes applications from EU, EEA and students from Overseas. All first stage auditions will be via digital submission. International students will attend a virtual second stage audition, if they are not able to attend in person.

As a result of Covid-19 and the current social distancing restrictions in place in the UK, Stage 1 of our audition process will be via digital audition.
Digital auditions will only be accepted if an applicant has completed an application form and paid the application fee of £50. Digital auditions will be considered by the Principal & Artistic Director and the Deputy Principal.
Digital auditions can be submitted between 4 January – 5 March 2021.

There is a one-time, non-refundable administrative fee of £50. This fee covers the cost of processing the application and is not refundable if an audition offer is not made.
Please note, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of application form, but the form will not be processed until the School has received the £50 application fee.
