COMMISSIONED CHOREOGRAPHERS 24/25: ROSE ALICE

We are excited to announce that choreographer and artist Rose Alice will be collaborating with our third year students. Rose is the first of six choreographers who have been commissioned to create new work with our third year students. This collaboration aims to test the students’ versatility as artists across a range of dance styles.

Rose Alice is a choreographer and guest artist based in New York and London she has performed and choreographed on both stage and film all over the world. She performed as a Principal Dancer for Zhang Yimou’s world premiere show Apologue 2047 in Beijing China, Tabula Rasa in New York and Vision, a world premiere production for Singapore’s National Day. She’s toured extensively throughout Asia for press launches for Johnny Walker with David Beckham, and Lewis Hamilton in collaboration with the Formula 1 Grand Prix. She performed as the Principal Dancer and Choreographer for Franco Dragone (founder of Cirque du Soleil) at the Palais Garnier (Paris Opera House), Principal dancer in Onegin at the Royal Opera House, as well as luxury brands BMW, Jaguar, Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rolex, Tiffany & Co, Net -A- Porter and Audi. She works as the resident Choreographer for Arlo Parks specialising in Arlo’s live shows, working also with Billie Eilish and Harry Styles as well as Lana Lubany on tour with Saint Levant. Rose choreographed for Woman in Motion New York and performed in the Netflix films Love Sarah and music videos for Rag n Bone Man, Mika, Bloc Party and Sky Arts premiere production for World Earth Day. Rose was invited to represent the United Kingdom at the World Expo in Astana Kazakhstan as well as being the resident Principal Dancer and Choreographer for Huawei and the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona.

Rose was commissioned by fashion designer Aneka Manners to star in and curate a dance film campaign which resulted in a Best Female Performance award from the Rome Film Festival, Swedish Film Awards, Venice Short Film Awards, New York International Film Awards, Los Angeles Independent Woman’s Film Awards, Loud Soul Music Festival, Venezia Shorts, Los Angeles Sun Film Festival, and the London International Web Festival. She was a finalist in the Stuttgart International Choreography competition, shortlisted for the U.K National Dance Awards, and was a Prix De Lausanne Finalist.
