Commissioned choreographers 2024/2025: Faye Stoeser

At Rambert School, students have the opportunity to work with many acclaimed choreographers throughout their training. This year, Faye Stoeser is amongst the line-up of artists and choreographers who will be collaborating with our third year students, guiding them through a diverse range of dance styles to showcase their versatility.

Faye Stoeser’s career spans from contemporary dance sector to the commercial industry, to underground battle scenes all of which is reflected in her choreographic style reflects this.

Faye studied at London Studio Centre and went on to join Rambert 2 completing her MA. As a performer, Faye worked with companies and choreographers including Clod Ensemble, Rambert 2, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Ohad Naharin, Richard Chappell Dance, Jose Agudo, Julia Cheung, Dickson Mbi with commercial credits including BBC, Universal Pictures, Years & Years, Kylie Minogue, Sam Smith.

Alongside Faye’s career, she became part of the Ballroom Scene in 2016, where she is recognised internationally in her category New Way Voguing and is part of the House of Revlon.

Faye is the Co Artistic Director alongside Hannah Ekholm of ‘Ekleido’ who have been touring their work SPLICE to venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Breakin’ Convention Sadler’s Wells, The Place, Lilian Baylis, Latitude, as well as touring their double bill SPLICE | RORSCHACH this Autumn to The Place and around the UK, of which they received commissioning from The Place, DanceEast and funding from Arts Council England.

Faye has been commissioned to make work on INTOTO, London Studio Centre, Bath Spa University, MYDC, Italia Conti as well as commercial choreographer & movement director credits including Saul Nash, Marc Jacobs, British Vogue, Woolmark.

“I’m thrilled to have been invited to create and collaborate with the Rambert School dancers. The work will feature influences from club dance styles combined with contemporary dance as well as drawing from the dancers’ own movement languages. My aim is for the dancers to be challenged and experience a new movement vocabulary in a safe and supportive environment; and create a work that will allow them to perform with vigour, celebration, and vibe!”
