Commissioned Choreographer 23/24: Naia Bautista

Naia Bautista is a freelance artist from Gibraltar, currently based in London. She graduated from English National Ballet School before moving to Warsaw to work with Polish National Ballet. Naia then took some time away from dance to explore other passions within and outside of the industry. During this time she was able to fully discover her interest in coaching and creating. Naia then decided to move back to London to begin freelancing. She has worked on various projects ranging between theatre, commercial and film work. Her goal is to continue finding and helping to create safe and inclusive spaces. Naia is currently working with Company Wayne McGregor.

Naia explains, “My hopes for this creation is to facilitate a space where the students are able to be playful, feel challenged and ultimately be themselves. I am looking forward to collaborating with their ideas, language and hopefully help create a piece that feels like a special close to their chapter as students.”
