BBC Young Dancer 2022

Congratulations to Anna Daly, Hannah Joseph, Robert Dunkley-Gyimah and Elisabeth Mulenga on making the final of this year’s BBC Young Dancer of the Year Competition. Last Sunday on BBC Four saw the finalists announced, with two cuts from the top 72, to the top 22, and down to the final 10 contestants.

We’re looking forward to the next episode where the finalists arrive in Dartington, Devon, for a week-long intensive dance academy. Awaiting them will be Clara Amfo and the BBC Young Dancer team, which includes some of the best professional dancers and choreographers in the business. With time at a premium, the dancers will be under pressure as they are put through their paces in preparation for the Grand Final, that will be broadcast on 7th May . As well as working on their solos, they also have brand new choreography to learn, plus a surprise challenge in store.
