Panos was born in Cyprus and started dancing at the age of 16 at the Limassol Municipal Dance Centre. Two years later he received the Dance and Drama Award and moved to London to study musical theatre at Bird College. Panos decided to continue his training at the Rambert School where he gained his BA Degree in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. During his time there he worked with choreographers such as Mark Baldwin, Kerry Nicholls, Antonia Franceschi and others.
He choreographed works performed at the Sadler’s Wells, Royal Opera House, Linbury Theatre, Central Saint Martins Platform Theatre, Rialto Theatre in Cyprus and DanceHouse Lemesos also in Cyprus. He choreographed and performed his piece ‘Gypsy Souls’ for ‘Mr Wonderful’ a celebration of Jonathan Ollivier’s Life in Dance at Sadler’s Wells, a show under the artistic direction of Matthew Bourne.
Panos worked with Fresco Dance Company in Israel, performing works by Michael Getman and Yoram Karmi. He also spent some time with Inbal Dance Theatre working with Mor Shani and Noa Shadur also in Israel. He presented a new duet called ‘MAMA’ at the Dance Waves Festival 2017. A duet in collaboration with another Rambert School graduate Jason Mabana. Panos choreographed and danced at the closing ceremony of the European Capital of Culture ‘Pafos17’. In April 2018 he performed in the theatre play ‘Eyolf Machine’ at the Old Vinegar Factory(theYard.residency.18) in Limassol, at the ARTos Cultural and research foundation in Nicosia and the ‘Adapt Festival’ at Tempus Verum in Athens(June 2018). A collaboration with the director Elias Adam and the actress Styliana Ioannou. In July 2018, Panos premiered his new duet with Melina Sofocleous (Rambert school graduate) at the ‘Lemesos Grand Ballets’ at Pattichio Theatre in Limassol.
Last month (Aug 2018) he danced for Emma Evelein Dance in Vondelpark Open Theatre in Amsterdam, in an evening by Scapino Ballet-Rotterdam.
