With great sadness we have learned of the passing of Diana Vere, known affectionately to most as “Foxie”, who recently passed away after a long illness. Foxie enjoyed an illustrious performing career with The Royal Ballet, before teaching at the School from the early 80s to her retirement. Foxie was beloved by many, including Amanda Britton, who she taught in her first year of training at the School. Amanda said, “I’m sure many will remember Foxie as a wonderful teacher, also for her warmth and for her wicked sense of humour”. Our thoughts are with her family and her husband Gary Sherwood, who was Director of Rambert Academy from 1979 – 1984, at this very sad time.
