  1. New Project - Lecce, Italy 2005. Research into the creation of a community dance and music programme in Southern Italy.
  2. Dance of Hope - Lima, Peru 2004. A major project researching into the value of using dance and music for the purpose of social development. Systematic research has been carried out in collaboration with doctors, psychologists and social workers to record the progress of 70 young Peruvian dancers and musicians at risk. This work has been developed in association with The British Council, The Community Dance Foundation U.K., Middlesex University, Ballet San Marcos, Peru and Los Olivos City Council, Peru.
  3. Ethiopian Gemini Youth Programme - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2001-1997. Principal Consultant for the Gemini music programme and interdisciplinary development initiatives. Use of long term vocational training in the arts (music, dance and film making) to empower the community to speak for itself.
  4. Jant-Bi - International Centre for the Development of Traditional and Contemporary African Dance - Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, 2002 - 1999. Consultant and initiator of developmental processes for cross-cultural music and dance collaboration encompassing over thirty African Nations.
  5. Black Choreographic Initiative - Royal Opera House Development Initiative, 2001-1998. Music director and choreographic facilitator for cross cultural and interdisciplinary research and development.
  6. Ross McKim's Cathedral Dance Research Project - Musical Research Director, 2004 - 1994. Research into how numinous experience may be demonstrated through the process and empowerment of dance and music pararituals.
  7. Scottish Dance Theatre - 1998. Mentoring the process of choreographic research and development for company members of Scottish Dance Theatre, Scottish Ballet and other leading British choreographers.

The Lisa Ullman Travelling Scholarship - 2004. Travel award for research into the relationship between Peruvian music and dance.

International Education Institute of Saporro- 2004 - 2000. Travel award for seminars given in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan.

Ministry of Culture, Lithuania - 2002 - Award for composition of "Voices in the Dark" for Aura Dance Company, Lithuania.

Brunel University - 2002 - Award for travel to Lithuania and Croatia for research with Aura Dance Company, Lithuania.

Swindon College- 2002 - Award for accommodation in Lithuania and Croatia for research with Aura Dance Company, Lithuania.

British Council of Dakar, Senegal - 2002 - 2001. Award for travel to Senegal, to give seminars and teacher training at The Dakar Conservatory of Music. Further research and development at The International Center for Traditional and Contemporary African Dance.

Brunel University - The Deans Research Levy - 2001. Bursary for research with Moving Visions Cathedral Dance research project.

Linbury Trust - 2000. Travel grant to Ethiopia for work with the Ethiopian Gemini Youth Programme.

British Council, London - 1999. Award for travel to Senegal for research and development at The International Center for Traditional and Contemporary African Dance.
