Rambert School Summer Course is a chance for aspiring dancers to immerse themselves in dance, creativity and performance for one week.
Students are given the opportunity to train in our world-class purpose-built facilities in Southwest London with faculty and alumni of Rambert School, experiencing our training environment and creative ethos, deepening technical training, and nurturing creativity and artistic expression. The Junior and Senior courses reflect the training needs of dancers at different stages of their dance journey.
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER COURSE 2017. For enquiries about the waiting list, please email us.
For questions, please email us.
The Junior Summer Course offers young dancers aged 11-14 years to experience high-quality dance training as well as developing performance and creative skills. Designed as an opportunity for exploring ballet and contemporary techniques within a nurturing and supportive environment, students will take daily technique and creative classes and finish the week with a performance in the School’s own Studio Theatre. This is a great opportunity to expand dance experience by delving further into both ballet and contemporary techniques.
Students should have been attending weekly dance classes in ballet and/or contemporary dance for at least one year.
The Senior Summer Course offers aspiring dancers ages 15-19 years the chance to immerse themselves in dance training for one intensive week. Modelled after the timetable of the full-time FD/BA Hons degree programme, the course offers students the chance to study first-hand from Rambert School faculty and alumni and will culminate in a performance in the School’s own Studio Theatre. This is a unique opportunity for students wishing to experience a professional training environment and prepare for auditions.
Students should have been attending weekly dance classes in ballet and/or contemporary dance for at least two years and be dancing at an intermediate level or above.
We are no longer accepting applications. More information on Summer Course 2018 will be available in December 2017.
Please note, both Junior and Senior Summer Course weeks are non-residential. Where necessary, students should organise their own accommodation.
